The Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy are the foundation of the English Language Arts classes at Rosemont School. Instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills will be implemented through a variety of strategies. Student learning experiences will include the reading and writing of literature, as well as argumentative and informational texts. Instructional materials used in ELA will include novels and short stories, Scholastic Scope Language Arts Magazine, CommonLit , IXL, and Study Island.
