Kindergarten-2nd Grade:

This year, we will be doing a combination of singing, beginning with our Grandparents' Day Concert on September 8th, playing new instruments, reading and notating music, completing our listening packet, and dancing.

3rd Grade:

Third grade will be using the Recorder Apprentice music book for their notated music reading. This book will be provided for them and will be used throughout the school year. Students will be playing on the Nuvo Recorders which feature Baroque-style keys instead of the standard holes of a regular recorder. Students will no longer need to purchase their own instruments for this class. This will provide students the opportunity to use their finger dexterity to push down the keys similar to how a flute works and to transition to band instruments more smoothly next year.
