The 8th Graders will be having a table at Wolff's Flea Market in Rosemont on Sunday, October 23, 2016 to raise funds for their class trip to Washington DC. They are looking for your gently used items that can be donated. Acceptable items that have sold well in the past include tools, household items, toys, games, collectables, sporting goods, small furniture items, and holiday decorations. Items can be dropped . . .
Progress reports for the 1st quarter will be printed on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Reports will be sent home with students in grades K-5, and mailed home for junior high students (grades 6-8). Parents of students in grades 4-8 can also conveniently monitor student progress at anytime through www.teacherease.com using the sign on code and password provided by the teacher.
Please order some delicious coffee cakes from a 6th grade student. They will be taking orders from September 9th through September 26th. The coffee cakes will be delivered on October 6th. They are $13.00 each. Coffee cake flavors include strawberry cream cheese, apple, cinnamon, cherry, raspberry, and caramel rolls are also available. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on October 20 & 21, 2016 for all students in kindergarten through 8th grade (preschool children will have conferences in February). There will be a 2:00 p.m. dismissal on both days, and conferences will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All K-8 parents are to attend October conferences, and junior high students (6-8 grades) are asked to accompany their parents to . . .
We hope everyone will support our parent group, Benefit Club. Dues are $5 per family. Benefit Club meetings are held five times during the school year in the Phyllis J. Anderson lunchroom. Please get involved, attend the meetings, and support the fundraising activities held throughout the school year. Some of the fundraising programs planned for this year include Yankee Candle, Heart and Home, Box Tops for Education, 5K Glow . . .
Over the past two years Rosemont School has earned close to $2,000.00 from the Box Tops for Education program, with profits of $788.20 during the 2014-15 school year, and $1,108.70 last year. That translates into close to 20,000 Box Tops submitted by students! This is a very simple no cost fundraiser for all families to support. You will find the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products. Join us on Friday, October 14th for an untimed 5k run/walk fundraiser through the streets of Rosemont Village, starting and ending at the school. Check-in starts at 5:30pm, the run/walk starts at 6:30pm, and there is a post party from 7:30pm to 9:00pm in the gym.
